Introducing Wembley Chiropractor Dr Rachel Young

"I was told that it was just a phase. Blood noses and headaches had been part of my life since I was a child. Constantly I was told that it was the heat or I had overexerted myself. It got so bad one day that my blood noses would not stop and I was taken to the hospital to have the blood vessels in my nose cauterised. This did not make any difference. I was only eight years old when I had my first chiropractic adjustment and that is when my life changed."

My mother had been going to a chiropractor with great success and as a last resort asked the chiropractor to check me. He found a subluxation right at the base of my neck and adjusted it! Wow what a difference. My blood noses and headaches were eliminated and I started to experience what it was like to be a normal kid again. Chiropractic became a part of my lifestyle. Any time I had a tumble or fall off one of my horses, my mum took me to the chiropractor and I knew I would be ok. In our small country town we had some of the best chiropractors who inspired me to follow my dream of becoming a Chiropractor.

I initially started my undergraduate studies in Science at Curtin University (Australia), and was then accepted at Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa, one of the leading Chiropractic Universities in the world. During my time at Palmer, we covered courses including biochemistry, human anatomy with an emphasis on neurology, neuroanatomy, human physiology, radiology, diagnosis and chiropractic adjusting techniques.

My love of animals (other than the two legged variety) also lead me to Study in the US under leaders within the American Animal Veterinarian & Chiropractic field to become a qualified Animal Chiropractor.

Thanks for visiting our site. I look forward to meeting you in person and learning how we may be of service to you. Give our office a call, or email me using the link below and let's arrange a time to explore your options."

Dr Rachel Asks some important questions of interest to Wembley residents - Chiropractor Wembley Dr Rachel Asks...

How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.
Are aches and pains good or bad?
While aches or pains may be unpleasant, they're merely warning signs. As a Wembley chiropractor, I see this all the time. The pain is not the problem! It just means a limitation has been reached and something needs to change. That's when we get to work correcting the underlying cause.
