Pregnancy Back Pain
PMS

At Young Chiropractic we are acutely aware of the unique stresses and strains on her body that a woman encounters throughout her life. Many pre-existing problems can become even greater issues during pregnancy and without the right care can really impact on the joy of carrying your unborn child.

Pregnancy and Pregnancy Back Pain

There are four areas that having an optimal working nervous system can assist mother and child.

  1. Pre-conception: Chiropractic care can promote more regular menstrual cycles, hormone and uterine function.
  2. Pre-conception care prepares the body for a balanced pregnancy
  3. Pregancy care assists with pelvic, uterine and associated ligament flexibility and function and pregnancy back pain. This allows for an easier delivery for both mother and baby
  4. Post-natal care. Even natural births can stress the babies spine and lead to spinal misalignments that cause tension in the spinal cord and can lead to symptoms such as colic, breastfeeding difficulties and uncontrollable crying.

Chiropractic care can assist in reducing this spinal cord tension so baby can develop to his or her potential.

But most important is not to forget about mum!

All that bending and lifting of baby can lead to back pain, neck pain, headaches to name a few.

So by having your spine checked you can enjoy the growth and development of your beautiful baby without associated pregnancy back pain.

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS)

Up to 90% of women suffer from some sort of PMS (pre-menstrual syndrome) with 10-20% experiencing symptoms that can be severe.

Many women have turned to chiropractic, finding significant relief in their PMS symptoms.

Misalignments particularly in the lower back can irritate the nerves exiting the lower back to the reproductive and hormone systems that can lead to symptoms such as:

  • Pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS)
  • Pelvic pain
  • Heavy bleeding
  • Cramping
  • Irregular or painful periods
  • Pain
  • Incontinence
  • Sexual Dysfunction
  • and even Infertility

By restoring normal spine and nerve function many women have found a significant improvement in their reproductive health.
